    2-week randomized, double-blind,
    placebo-controlled trial involving
    80 adults (aged 19–65)

  • Duration & Dosage

1 capsule (300 mg) daily for 2 weeks

Statistically significant improvements in sleep efficiency (SE), sleep latency (SL), total sleep time (TST),
and wake after sleep onset (WASO) observed via polysomnography.

Novel neuropharmacological activity of citrus lime (Citrus aurantifolia): A standardized lime peel supplement enhances non-rapid eye movement sleep by activating the GABA type A receptor. Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, 179, 117410.
Mechanism of Action

Lime peel extract activates the GABAA receptor by binding to its core site (GABA-binding site).
This triggers Cl⁻ ion influx into neurons, inhibiting neuronal excitation
and promoting natural sedation and sleep induction.
